When I base64 encode my URL to be shortened I get "/" in the middle. How do I fix this to work with smurl.be?

Base64 sometimes will use the "/" in the middle of your encoded string. To get around this you need to add a str_replace() function to the end of your base64_encode() function if you are using PHP. Other languages have the same functions available.
Example PHP:
base64_encode().str_replace("/", "-")
Example CFML:
Replace(ToBase64(), "/", "-", "ALL")

Can I assign custom data fields to my short urls?

Yes you can but this requires a PRO account. To upgrade your account please login to your account and click on the 'Upgrade' link.
